About Dakota Aerials

Dakota Aerials is owned and operated by Dave Tunge who started his flying career in the 1960’s and found Aerial photography as a passion for nearly as long as he has been flying.

Dave is a Commercial Pilot; holds Single, Multi-Engine, and Instrument Flight Instructor Ratings and has logged over 20,000 hours of flight experience.

Dave is a native of South Dakota, growing up in Sioux Falls and eventually residing in the hills overlooking Lewis & Clark Lake near Yankton…the “Mother City of the Dakotas”.

The mission of Dakota Aerials is to offer clients aerial images that truly capture the finest reproduction of the subject property. Tack sharp images, best time of day for lighting, state-of-the-art equipment, and the experience of a lifetime pilot will provide you with one-of-a-kind images that you will be proud to display.

We used Dakota Aerials for a few years during construction of our water treatment plant, pump station and water tower. The quality of Dave’s work is top notch. He was easy to work with, very accommodating and his prices are fair. Dave always bent over backward to ensure we got the photos we needed, as well as made sure we felt we were getting a good value for our money. During the three-year, approximately $2 billion expansion of CF Industries’ Port Neal nitrogen complex in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, we used Dakota Aerials as a resource for monthly visuals of our construction progress and related projects.
